En.v new york began in late 2006 when I, JustRaymona, took a hard look at the fashion industry as a whole. Having worked in the industry since the age of 14—rising to become a Bespoke Stylist and Patternmaker on 7th Avenue—I couldn’t ignore the lack of well-fitted, stylish clothing for women beyond a size 10. The few brands that catered to plus-size women simply made garments wider rather than designing them to complement and celebrate curves, leading to ill-fitting, uninspired fashion.

As a Patternmaker and Bespoke Stylist, I quickly realized that true fashion isn’t just about design—it’s about the cut, the structure, and the precise distribution of lines that ensure a perfect fit for a curvier body. Every woman, regardless of size, wants to feel confident, stylish, and empowered in what she wears. In today’s world, image is a reflection of confidence, and fashion should enhance, not limit, a woman's ability to express herself.

So, in early 2007—despite being a size 2 myself—I dedicated myself to understanding the plus-size woman's body. With the invaluable guidance of three incredible plus-size models—Miss Sharon Quinn, Miss Mia Amber, and Miss Elizabeth Claire Taylor—I learned the intricate details of constructing fashion-forward, well-fitted clothing that truly embraces curves. Unlike traditional plus-size garments, our pieces are designed to fit the body the way standard sizes do, creating style, structure, and confidence.

After countless fittings, revisions, and perfecting the craft, en.v new york officially launched in 2008 with a debut fashion show, receiving widespread coverage from the NY press and major morning news shows.

This journey has been long and demanding, but it has never been one I walked alone. en.v new york has always been driven by passion, resilience, and the unwavering support of those who believed in this mission from the start. As we prepare for the 2025 relaunch, I am beyond grateful for every model, creative, supporter, and friend who has contributed to this brand’s evolution.
